The older Olivia gets the more fun she is to be around. She is turning into such a toddler; she likes to feed herself (well, at least try to), clap her hands, crawl up stairs, walk (if she has a table or something else to hold on to), and occasionally wave hello or goodbye. Lately she has this new, wide, cheesy grin that she will give to anyone whose eyes she meets. Nothing is cuter than a wide grin with 3.25 baby teeth peeking through.
I love watching her interact with other children, particullary her cousins close to her age. One benefit of living in Provo at this time is that Olivia gets to hang out lots with her cousin Nicole who is only 6 or 7 months older. Not that babies of this age do much actual interacting, mostly staring curiously staring at eachother and occasionally tearing toys out of eachothers hands; even still, it is fun to watch
My mission as of late is to get Olivia nursing less and eating solids more. Gerber makes these little cereal fruit flavored puffs that dissolve easily in the mouth. Olivia would eat these all day if she could. She loves that she can eat these all by herself, without any help from Mommy. Her other favorite foods include oatmeal cereal with apple juice, bananas with prunes and grape juice, butternut squash, and apples with blueberries. Happiness is when I give her the spoon to hold herself. She can sit in her chair contentedly for almost an hour as long as she has her own spoon to suck on.
She loves to horseplay and wrestle with her daddy. He can make her laugh harder than anyone else. Don't know how Mike manages to be balance so well being a dad, father, and husband with work, but he balances it well, and I am so grateful for all he does for our family.
