Olivia's First Rice Cereal Experience . . .

Book Club

I know it is late, but I just had such a great evening that I needed to post before I went to bed. Tonight I had my first book club meeting with some of my Springville friends. It was so nice. Becky and Barb are like sisters to me! They are the perfect combination of humor, kindness, intelligence, and competence, and I love that we can talk about everything. Every girl needs such friends in her life.

The book we read for tonight was Leadership and Self-Deception by the Arbinger Institute. I t was a great book that I had been wanting to read for years, ever since I read Bonds that Make Us Free by C. Terry Warner (founder of Arbinger). For anyone who has not read these books, I could not more strongly recommend them; they are life changing. Although they both discuss the same principals, I think Bonds does a more in-depth job, so I would recommend it first.

In short, cannot wait for next month's meeting!

4 Months!

Today Olivia is four months old. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. As cheesy as this is going to sound, I tell Mike that since having Olivia it is like waking up to Christmas morning each day. Everyday I wake up excited to enjoy this amazing gift. She is beautiful, and I love watching her grow and progress.
