Cutest Nephew

4th of July

We had a full holiday and took advantage of having Mike home with us for the whole day by packing in as many activities as we could. We started the day with a parade in West Jordan. Olivia's favorite parts were the balloons and the horses.

Olivia loves the water, and with the 100 degree heat we've been having lately, who doesn't. Mike and I enjoyed getting cooled off as well.

Riverton City Carnival

Olivia started liking the carnival about the same time we handed her a big wad of cotton candy. We thought she would be overwhelmed by all the bright lights and crowds, but she had a blast!

She even enjoyed her first carousel ride. Wave "hi" to Daddy!

After a ride on the "horsies" we found a nice spot on the grass to lay out our blankets and enjoy the fireworks. I was impressed with the city's display, and Olivia had fun with the "baby" friend she kept saying "Hi!" to on the blanket next to ours.

On the Mend

You know Olivia isn't feeling well when she just plops down and lays down in the middle of the floor out of sheer exhaustion. Last week I had what I thought was food poisoning. But after Mike, Olivia, and my brother Tim all experienced the same think this week, I'm assuming it must have been a stomach bug of some sort. Whatever its cause, it is a violent, miserable sickness that leaves you feeling drained and tired for days after you're finished kneeling in front of the toilet.

Poor Olivia was so cute on the mend, snuggled up with her blankie and favorite teddy and watching her Baby Einstein DVD. Thankfully, I think everyone in our household is finally better!
